A quotation is the most expensive document a service business produces. It usually follows a site visit, measurements, a supplier check and a manager’s review. Then it is emailed — and often nothing happens next.
The fix is rarely more salespeople. It is three habits: every open quotation has one owner, every owner has a due date for the next contact, and everyone works from one queue instead of their inbox.
Start by listing every quotation sent in the last 60 days with no recorded contact since. That list is your first follow-up queue. In EVOR it is the “Quotes awaiting action” view, but a spreadsheet is a fine place to start the habit.
Once the habit exists, automate the reminder: when a quotation is sent, create a follow-up task for its owner three days later. People stay in charge of the conversation; the system makes sure the conversation happens.
